What is the maximum number of eNodeBs that can be connected to one MME?

Is there any limit, do we have any practical number from any professional MME provider.

During S1 Setup procedure, each eNodeB sends its identifier (Global eNB ID) which is globally unique in the S1 SETUP REQUEST message. Global eNB ID is 28 bits long string if we assume all are macro eNodeBs then out of 28, 20 bits will be used to generate a id. Now you can understand (2^20 - 1 ) unique identifiers can be generated.
This is my understanding and the number comes out from above it is theoretical.
Each MME running in different hardware would be having different capacity. In the deployment case so many things are considered such as software limitation, hardware limitation, # of subscribers etc.

What is the maximum number of process that can be created in a linux system?

Lets assume I have a system with RAM of 1GB. and virtual memory is 500MB. That brings to 1.5GB i.e. 1500 MBytes.

I have read somewhere that when I process is created stack of 8MB is associated to that process. So, assuming that any of the process is not allocating any dynamic memory or anything, then does it mean that, Maximum number of process that i can create is 1500/8 and i.e. 187 Process.

Please clarify my understanding,
