The Europe Export Development Team has some big goals ahead for 2014. It will support the launch of a full second language experience for the Amazon platform by enhancing the current multi-language experience and introducing multi-language on additional websites. This will be achieved by making high impact changes to some of Amazon’s critical systems such as search and systems dealing with our item data. In addition, the team will drive several other enhancements to the experience of export customers focusing on export restricted products and products with additional fees and levies. For 2014, we plan to build out a team located in Bangalore. The team will work closely with a large group of development teams across Amazon, mainly located in the US and India.
The ideal candidate will draw upon exemplary analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, deep software development experience, and a passion for creating maintainable, highly reliable, distributed systems which operate 24/7/365. Successful members of this team collaborate effectively with internal end- users, aggressive cross-functional software development teams, and technical support/sustaining engineering teams to solve problems, implement new solutions, and deliver successfully against high operational standards of system availability and reliability.
