What is the difference between IVR and Play announcement

Can someone describe what is IVR and Play announcement. And what is the main difference between these two

AFAIK IVR and announcement have same capabilities (play announcement, record , receive DTMF). The only difference is that an announcement can also generate tone i.e. DTMF Tone.

Can somebody explains or give some reference on CAP3 GPRS Charging

Please correct me.

I have a query related to CAP3 GPRS Charging. Basically CAP3 GPRS works on GSM network, that means it uses SS7 Network topology but for Charging it uses Diameter.My doubt is since Diameter is an application layer protocol in OSI model , how both the models work synchronously for CAP3 GPRS Charging. Any reference would be highly appreciable

Are there any RFC's available for CAMEL protocol ?

I would like to know if there are any RFC's available for CAMEL protocol (or CAP).

Also please guide me the specifications which I should follow for learning CAMEL and IN.
