LTE: Does the home eNodeB support all features that a macro eNodeB can support ?

If the answer is not then list provide the list of features than can be deferred for home eNodeB and what are the reasons not supporting a particular feature at the Home eNodeB ?

Hi ganesh,

There is no limitation in feature wise compare to MACRO ENB except few parameters like cell coverage and MAX no of UE's. Other than these all layer's feature are same as MACRO ENB.

Suppose a macro eNodeB supports multiple cells. Does each cell has its own instance for each layer or one instance of each protocol layer can handle more than one cell ?

On what parameter basis, eNodeB changes its current transmission mode to different transmission mode for an UE ?
What parameters are considered to take decision on transmission mode ? Does the eNodeB inform to UE about the selected TM ?
