How to delete email attachments in Evolution?

Has anyone tried the "remove attachments" feature in Evolution? I find that it simply deletes the whole message (a totally unacceptable behavior).

From time to time, you want to keep an message where someone has mailed you a file, but don't want the file wasting hard drive space. It'd be nice to be able to simply remove the attachment without a palaver.

cannot access incoming yahoo from evolution

When I attempt to login to receive my email from yahoo.com the password is not recognized. If I login from the yahoo web page with the same password i am able to retrieve my incoming messages. I am using Server (pop.mail.yahoo.com) Port 110. I have encryption turned off. The Authentication is set to password. I was able to to send yahoo email from evolution.

Evolution Calendar Time Zones in fedora?

When I create an entry in the ecolution calendar (New York time zone) Everything is fine, but when I edit it the time zone goes to UTC. The system is set to use the NY time zone.

Weird!! Tried to a search on google but nothing really comes up on this. Not sure if it a bug or it is a setting somewhere I missed.

Thunderbird does not display images in email messages on my fedora machine?

I have been having a problem with TB for quite some time, and I am getting rather tired of the problem.

Images in messages that are sent to me by users of windows are not displayed in TB. Rather, all I see are empty boxes where images are supposed to be.

This is not to say that every message I get from windows users containing images are treated this way by TB.

I am just saying that some individuals I know, who use windows, and send me email containing images are treated this way by TB.

Is there a setting that I need to set?

How to mount an LVM2 volume in Fedora Linux.

Runnning old "Fedora 20-x86_64", and want to install Fedora-Kde-live-25-1-3.

Situation:
$ uname -rov

/dev/vg_maq01/lv_home [ 63,00 GiB]
/dev/vg_maq01/lv_root [ 50,00 GiB]
/dev/fedora/home [ 48,48 GiB]
/dev/sdb2 [ 500,00 MiB]
/dev/sdb3 [ 194,87 GiB]
/dev/sdb4 [ 500,00 MiB]

The /dev/sda* is a SSD(KINGSTON SV200S3128G) 128GB, with old "Fedora 16-x86_64", and only want to recover some files in /home.

The /dev/sdb* is a Seagate(ST3320613AS) 320GB, running old "Fedora 20-x86_64", with some important file in /home.

$ sudo lvscan

Problem:
Want to mount the SSD on "Fedora 20" to recover some files, copying it to /dev/sdb3 space(/dev/sdb3 not used/mounted). After this, I can erase all SSD and install "Fedora 25" on it.

How to set video resolution permanently in Fedora 22?

I want my Fedora 22 box to run at a video resolution of 1680x1050.

I added and selected that resolution by doing:

$ xrandr --newmode "1680x1050_60.00"  146.25  1680 1784 1960 2240  1050 1053 1059 1089 -hsync +vsync
$ xrandr --addmode VGA-0 1680x1050_60.00
$ xrandr --output VGA-0 --mode 1680x1050_60.00

That worked, but when I reboot the resolution reverts to 1280x1024.

I tried creating file:

/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-monitor.conf

and putting in it:

Section "Monitor"
 Identifier "VGA-0"
 Option "PreferredMode" "1680x1050_60.00"
EndSection

but that had no effect (perhaps because the resolution was not found after the reboot).

How can I set the resolution to 1680x1050 permanently?
