There are multiple use of RRC Connection Reconfiguration message. After establishing SRB1, other dedicated configurations are sent from eNodeB to UE by using the rrc connection reconfiguration message. During the different procedures such as handover, dedicated bearer establishment, bearer release etc.

LTE: Why UE does not "attach complete" message along with "RRC Connection Reconfiguration Complete" ?

During attach procedure, UE sends "Attach Request" along with "RRC Connection Setup Complete", eNodeB sends "Attach Accept" along with "RRC Connection Reconfiguration then why UE does not send "Attach Complete" along with "RRC Connection Reconfiguration Complete" message ? In which IE,does DRX parameter will be configured,Is it in RRC CONNECTION SETUP, RRC RECONFIGURATION or SIB2 message?

Is DRX will by default present in UE?or will it be assigned by eNB?
If it is assigned by eNB,then in which message does it send to UE,in RRC setup or RRC reconfiguration or SIB2 message?

LTE: What is the use of "S-TMSI" when it receives in the RRC Connection Request message ?

It may be an easy question but still I have some doubt.
How RRC Connection setup procedure gets impacted with the presence of "S-TMSI" as an UE-Identity within the RRC Connection Request message ?
Note: RRC Connection request message can carry either 5 bytes long (S-TMSI) or 5 bytes long random value.
