Converting time stamp in informatica to date

I want to display the time stamp in following format '2011-04-22 10:41:57.000' to date as '04/22/2011' but when it convert it to following form TO_DATE(TO_CHAR(Date), 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') it is displaying as null.

I am planning to use substring after the conversion

Can someone please tell me where i am going wrong?

Converting the time column SQL server to timestamp column in oracle using Informatica

I have a Time column in my SQL Server table which has data like (14:00:00.0000000).

I am trying to load this type of data in Oracle table which has corresponding column datatype as timestamp. I am trying to convert the time column in SQL server to timestamp column in oracle using Informatica.

Whats the best way to do it?

Informatica Date/Time Conversion

In one of the requirment informatica fetching data from flat file as source file and insert records into a temporary table temp of DB2 database. Flat file has one column as datetime datatype (YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS). However, informatica fetching this column as string datatype (Since Informatica date format is different from this column & DB2). So before loading into temp table of DB2 database, I need to convert back this column into Datetime format.

With Expresion transformation, I can do this but I dont know how? To_date conversion function (TO_DATE(FIELD, 'YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS')) is there but it will take care of date only (YYYY/MM/DD). Its not taking care of time (HH:MM:SS) and because of this records are not inserting into temp table.

How can I convert datetime from String datatype to DB2 datetime format (YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS)?

Converting multiple rows to multiple columns in in informatica

My source data is :

ID TimingID Timingtype
1 100 supplier
1 102 dealer
1 103 dealer
2 200 xyz
2 205 abc

I want my target to be like this :
ID T1_TimingID T1_Timingtype T2_TimingID T2_Timingtype T3_TimingID T23_Timingtype
1 100 supplier 102 dealer 103 dealer
2 200 xyz 205 abc null null

Kindly suggest.

Informatica: Converting a table into multiple target tables based on one column.

In my source table data is 

s_name,p_name,value
s1 ,   p1,     10
s1 ,   p2,     xyz
s1 ,   p3 ,    abc
s2 ,   p1 ,    20
s2 ,   p2 ,    xyz
s2 ,   p3 ,    abc

I want two target tables, first table is based on s_name s1, second table based on s_name s2. Both table contains contains p_name and value.

The target table data like as

Table s1

p_name,value 
p1,    10
p2,    xyz
p3,    abc

Table s2 

p_name,value 
p1,    20
p2,    xyz
p3,    abc

Informatica: Pass date value from one session to another session in the same workflow

I have two sessions I a workflow like below

workflow1->session1->session2

I have a join_date column in a table in Mapping1 , in session1. I want to pick this join_date value and pass to mpping2/session2

If join date value changes in the table in session1 then the same value should pick and pass to session2. I will use this date value in a query in session2 .

Please suggest how to achieve this?
