Hi,

It depends on the vendor implementation. some vendor treats A5 event as time critical handover.

Hi Jaganathan, What could be the reason to consider event A5 as critical event for handover ? If you can explain then it would be very helpful to understand this completely. Thanks in advance.
Hi harshitha,
as i said it is vendor dependent. Like A5 event will be reported when serving cell becomes worse and neighbor cell becomes good but in other events like a4 neighbor becomes good(but doesn't mean serving cell is worse) so even if you don't do handover your connection will not loose. but in A5 event if you don't do handover your connection will be lost because serving cell is getting worse.
Thanks a lot to provide such a good details. You really have very good knowledge in LTE.
thank you :)
