What is the difference between Handover failure and Radio Link failure?

Different patents talks about radio link failure ratio and handover failure ratio...
Can any one list the difference and scenario for this type of failure to occur?

Either most of the time in both cases UE has to do the RRCConnectionReestablishment,

Handover failure can occur first and then Radio Link failure can happen, but vice versa can't (), there is a difference if RLF is happening after handover failure or if it triggers directly.

Let me give a view on what info you have given regarding Incomplete Handover.

As Per you statement if UE looses cover before handover command and Selected cell is not prepared then connection re-establishment will fail with target.

Then after again reselection UE camped on same cell so why it is handover failure for him ??? (As he got good strength after some time and he camped to the same)

What are the timers protected by ENB during handovers which leads to handover cancel ???

Can you give some references so that i can refer !!!
I have written is in very understandable language but I didn't get your question and interpretation too. Would you mind to describe your query in more details ? Or if i am not getting it then i request you to educate me on this.

Radio Link failure occurs at physical layer only whereas handover failure is a very generic term.
If you check S1-AP protocol (36.413), there is a message "handover failure" defined when target eNodeB sends "handover failure" message as an unsuccessful response for the handover request message. Handover failure also captured in 3GPP RRC specification.

RRC Re-establishment Procedure is executed in both the cases.

The radio condition from network side is appropriate but still RLF has happened because of maximum transmission power. Can any one tell me how it is happening in real network?
