Candidate is responsible for development, maintenance and support of cellular protocol stack software for mobile phones. Highly motivated. Must be an effective team player and be able to work independently. Good communicator. Able to explain difficult technical concepts clearly and to communicate effectively in a multisite environment. Able and willing to travel internationally

Requirement
Proven software development experience in protocol layers 2/3/4 of at least one wireless telecoms standard namely 2G, 3G or LTE. Good understanding of 3GPP specifications. Experience in embedded software development. Good analytical and debugging skills. Design/Development of stack on RTOS based platforms. C and/or C++ programming experience.
Desired experience: 2 – 10 years.
Qualification: B.E/B. Tech/ ME/M. Tech/MCA or any other equivalent degree.

Requirement is for all the modules in PS (L2/L3/L4). Exposure to UE side development is preferred, but mixture of UE and NW side is also fine.

LTE Protocol Development - Lead Engineer at Airwana (Bangalore)

We are looking for a Lead Engineer with experience working on development of LTE protocol stack and who has experience building products ground up.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Be able to work with System Engineering to understand Requirements and decide feasibility of implementing features. Analyze third party software components to understand the limitations and work vendors to get quick resolutions. Understand existing Airvana Platform (OS and Frameworks) and is able to judge on best possible approach to integrate third-party components.

Required Skills & Knowledge:
Advanced C and C++, Good Realtime OS (Linux) fundamentals
Strong Experience Implementing LTE Protocol Stack (RLC, PDCP, RRM, MAC Schedular)
Experience handling third-party vendors to understand their sw and is able to effectively integrate new thridparty components on Airvana platforms.
Experience working on Femtocell products, with a thorough understanding of issues in operation and deployment
Experience in OO design paradigms and challenges, clear understanding of usage of Templates
